Outdoor Mushroom Kits

Many of the mushrooms we sell can be grown indoors or outdoors (although most types will stall during the winter months). There are some mushrooms which are particularly suited to outdoor growing, either because they grow too slowly for indoor fruiting, or because they require complex interactions with bacteria in the natural environment. The kits in this section are designed for starting a natural mushroom patch outdoors in a shaded, moist environment eg Under Trees Under hedges or bushes Amongst vegetables Outdoor kits are a little slower than their indoor counterparts, and fruiting is less controlled, but they are much less labour-intensive and can be used to grow mushrooms over relatively large areas, potentially producing huge quantities of mushrooms.
