If you prefer to grow mushrooms on logs, these dowels are what you need to get started producing your own mushrooms from hardwood logs. Logs provide a slow methodology for growing mushrooms, but they require less effort in caring, and produce stronger flavours.

Mushroom dowels should be used as soon as possible. Most types will keep for around 1 month if stored at 1-5°C, although some types will keep considerably longer. For international shipments, especially outside Europe, where the delivery time may be longer, it is advisable to use the dowels as soon as possible.
