About Mushroombox

Mushroombox supplies mushroom growing kits, grain spawn and log dowels from Herefordshire – by mail order across the UK and abroad, and through garden centres and shops.

What we sell

• Mushroom kits – complete kits for growing at home. Just add water.
• Spawn in packs from 60g, with bulk spawn from 1kg to 40kg at lower prices.
• Dowels for growing mushrooms on logs.
• Growing materials and equipment for larger-scale growing.

Species include oyster (blue/grey, white, pink and yellow), king oyster, shiitake, button and portabella, lion’s mane, black poplar, enoki, nameko, wine cap and blewit, and we add new types regularly.

Kits that actually grow

Many shop-bought mushroom kits fail because the spawn inside has died before the box is opened. Ours don’t: kits from us come with fresh spawn kept in ideal conditions, or with a registration card so fresh spawn can be posted when you’re ready to start. Kits from our stockists work the same way – register online or by post and we send fresh spawn.
