How our kits & registration cards work

Mushroom Box kits are not pre-spawned. You choose how the live spawn arrives:

• Spawn with the kit – the standard option. Start the kit within about a month, following the instructions in the box. If you need to keep it longer, tell us and we’ll swap the spawn for a registration card.
• Registration card – ideal for gifts. The kit comes with a card instead of spawn. When the recipient is ready, they register online or post the card to us, and we send fresh spawn by return. The kit can wait as long as you like.

If no option is chosen, we send fresh spawn with the kit.

Registering a kit

Bought a kit from a shop, or been given one? It will have a registration card with a serial number. Register it here, entering the number exactly as printed – each number is unique and we can’t send spawn for an incorrect code.

• Registering from outside the UK: there is a £2.50 charge towards postage for the spawn.
• If checkout says we don’t deliver to your address, or anything else goes wrong, contact us and we’ll register it by hand.
