Storing spawn & dowels

Spawn and dowels are alive, so use them as soon as you can.

• Most types keep for around a month in the fridge at 1–5°C, and some for considerably longer.
• A few varieties need storing at 10°C – check the label for the right temperature.
• For orders sent abroad, especially outside Europe where delivery takes longer, use them as soon as they arrive.
